Malta states it will seek out to retrieve a shark tooth that was presented to Britain’s Prince George by veteran broadcaster and naturalist David Attenborough, who located the fossil throughout a holiday on the Mediterranean island in the nineteen sixties.
Tradition Minister Jose Herrera mentioned he will “get the ball rolling” to deliver back again the tooth to be exhibited in a Maltese museum.
“There are some artifacts that are significant to pure heritage which ended up abroad and have earned to be retrieved,” he advised the Periods of Malta.
The fossil, considered to be close to 3 million a long time outdated, belonged to an extinct species of a giant shark that could develop up to 16 metres, three moments the size of modern day terrific white sharks.
Attenborough, ninety four, presented the fossil to Prince George throughout a personal viewing of his new documentary at Kensington Palace.
